Atlantik Elektronik presents the world´s smallest embedded device server xPico, a networking module with Ethernet connectivity as a cost-effective extension of existing hardware architectures.
xPico, which boasts a chip-sized footprint of 24mm x 16.5mm, is a compact and complete networking solution that enables Ethernet connectivity on virtually any device with a serial interface. With its embedded device server application, web server, and full TCP/IP stack, xPico allows seamless remote access to device data - simplifying the design integration process and providing robust connectivity.
"The combination of performance, price, and an incredibly small form factor makes for an unbeatable product offering in xPico", rejoices Ottmar Flach, Managing Director of Atlantik Elektronik. "We have seen a tremendous demand from customers for an Ethernet-based embedded solution with the power and flexibility of xPico."
As the world´s smallest embedded device server, xPico can be utilised in designs typically intended for chip solutions. A further advantage is, there is no need for software development - translating into a much lower development cost and faster time to market.
Major features are as follows:
- Chip-size footprint: 24mm x 16.5mm
- Complete device server application with full TCP/IP stack and integrated web server
- Serial data rate of up to 921 Kbps
- 256-bit AES encryption
- Industrial temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
"Considering the flexibility, functionality and form factor, Lantronix´ xPico is a design-in must-have for existing hardware platforms", says Ottmar Flach. "With the built-in, industry-proven device server application already deployed in several million devices the xPico marks another milestone in delivering technologically innovative products designed to solve specific customer needs in growing markets."
