Atlantik Elektronik’s presentation at embedded world 2019 in Nuremberg was again a great success

Close interest in latest IoT and AI solutions

The embedded world in Nuremberg was an event with great success for Atlantik Elektronik GmbH which can be attributed to the orientation of the semiconductor products and solutions as well as the strategic cooperation with the manufacturers.

At the embedded world from February 26th to February 28th this year more than 32,000 trade visitors informed themselves about new products and trends. At the electronic exhibition 1100 exhibitors from 42 countries met and presented their solutions.

Atlantik Elektronik presented a dazzling array of latest semiconductor solutions and embedded development trends. "We are again very pleased with the very positive response to our products and solutions", said Ottmar Flach, General Manager of Atlantik Elektronik GmbH. “The great interest of the professional audience makes Atlantik very optimistic”, because "we are able to provide our customers with the expertise and support for technologies and products that go beyond the usual semiconductor technologies. From the design phase until the implementation, we ensure cost- and power-efficient solutions for the projects at a very short time-to-market, "added Ottmar Flach.

Atlantik Elektronik exclusively presented the presentation of the new ConnectCore® 8X from Digi International. As a member of the next generation Digi ConnectCore® family, built on NXP's new i.MX 8X application processor, the Digi ConnectCore® 8X provides a complete and secure system platform for building networked intelligent devices.

Furthermore we presented new solutions and technologies in the field of artificial intelligence. With the Qualcomm Neural Processing SDK for Artificial Intelligence, we help customers easily build their desired intelligent world. Premium Tier Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ platforms have extensive heterogeneous computing capabilities designed to enable the operation of trained neural networks on the device without connecting to the cloud. The Qualcomm® Neural Processing SDK for artificial intelligence (AI) is designed to help developers run one or more neural network models trained in Caffe/Caffe2, ONNX, or TensorFlow on Snapdragon mobile platforms, whether that is the CPU, GPU or DSP.

The Qualcomm Neural Processing SDK does a lot of the heavy lifting needed to run neural networks on Snapdragon mobile platforms, which can help provide developers with more time and resources to focus on building new and innovative user experiences.

In addition, Atlantik Elektronik presented a broad portfolio of low power solutions that also increase connectivity and functionality. The ePaper display technology offers huge potential to solve the challenge of increasing display resolution, whilst keeping the lowest possible power consumption. The killer feature of ePaper displays is the extremely low power consumption.  The ePaper is the perfect solution to the challenge of delivering a higher-resolution display at the same time as reducing the power consumption of the display.

Another focus of the exhibition was the presentation of complete IoT solutions, ranging from connectivity for end devices to gateways with edge computing functions and remote management tools. The connectivity part is done by our latest IoT modules that work with a single RF protocol or even a combination of different standards.
These low power technologies enable smart devices to be battery powered. They run reliable mesh   protocols that avoid single points of failure for extreme robust networks. Ready to use software for hostless design options eliminate the need for an additional MCU and further reduce the overall cost of IoT end devices.

Coupled with the audio development kit (ADK) and tools we provide a flexible platform for designing high quality Bluetooth audio products for high-performance Bluetooth speaker, Bluetooth headphones as well as Bluetooth headsets of the latest generation. Atlantik Elektronik offers latest Bluetooth SoCs & modules that are designed with integrated high-performance audio processors w/ analog/digital output and qualified to Bluetooth 4.2 - 5.x specification.

These products can be used in hostless design to minimize the cost. For more advanced requirements Atlantik can provide a HW-Interface protocol handler for out of the box compatibility to our rich set of 32bit microcontrollers based on ARM Cortex- M0 to  M23 cores. This gives our customers the best flexibility with access to a high I/O count for bitmap matching and a typical protocol conversion to DALI or DMX to UART.

Another exhibition highlight was the presentation of sensor solutions for different markets and applications. Lowest power 3D Hall Sensors and industrial current sensors in SMD package. Furthermore we showed infrared and CO2 sensors for smart building technology.
