Atlantik Elektronik’s successful presentation at electronica 2016 in Munich

Close interest in innovative IoT solutions

The electronica in Munich was an event with great success for Atlantik Elektronik GmbH which can be attributed to the orientation of the semiconductor products and solutions as well as the strategic cooperation with the manufacturers.

At the electronica from November 8th to 11th this year more than 73,000 trade visitors informed themselves about new products and trends. At the largest electronic exhibition 2,913 exhibitors from 50 countries met and presented their solutions.

Atlantik Electronik presented a dazzling array of latest semiconductor solutions and embedded development trends. "We are again very pleased with the very positive response to our products and solutions", said Ottmar Flach, General Manager of Atlantik Elektronik GmbH. “The great interest of the professional audience makes Atlantik very optimistic”, because "we are able to provide our customers with the expertise and support for technologies and products that go beyond the usual semiconductor technologies. From the design phase until the implementation, we ensure cost- and power-efficient solutions for the projects at a very short time-to-market", added Ottmar Flach.

Atlantik Elektronik presented with the QCA4010/12 from Qualcomm an integrated and feature-rich intelligent Wi-Fi solution for the Internet of Things (IoT). Utilizing the comprehensive ThreadX RTOS network stack this platform provides a full-featured dual band Wi-Fi solution for a wide variety of products. With its large 1.5MB SRAM there is no additional MCU needed.

In addition Atlantik Elektronik showed the new Narroband (NB)-IoT module BC95 from Quectel, this will be a strong support for Internet of Everything (IoE) applications.

Furthermore Atlantik Elektronik presented the newest IoT module WSDB-104GNI (BT) from SparkLAN. The WSDB-104GNI (BT) is a highly integrated 1x1 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi/BT SDIO IoT solution. It can support up to 150Mbps Wi-Fi throughput and Bluetooth can support BT4.1.

Also Atlantik Elektronik demonstrated an ultra-low-power Wi-Fi module for the Internet of Things (IoT) from Silex. With a hostless mode that does not require an external MCU; the SX-ULPGN provides a low-cost Wi-Fi connectivity solution for IoT products.

With the Bluetooth Smart 4.2 System on Chip (SoC) CSR102x from Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Atlantik Elektronik presented a product family specifically designed to help engineers meet the needs of today’s “always-on” world. The CSR102x family is optimized for specific applications in the Internet of Things (IoT), including wireless remote controls, simple smart watches, home automation solutions and beacons, where balancing performance, battery life and cost is critical.

Atlantik Elektronik showed also the 4G LTE Cat 1 module EG91 from Quectel for wireless M2M communication, which will be a strong support for the IoT. Atlantik Elektronik introduces with the EG91 another LTE mobile module of Cat 1 category, which is suitable for M2M and IoT applications due to its industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.

In addition Atlantik Elektronik presented Digi's ConnectCore 6 UL. The CC 6 is an embedded module based on the Freescale i.MX6 Cortex-A9 processor family for Wi-Fi solutions with highest performance expectations.

In addition, Atlantik Elektronik demonstrated the xPico Wi-Fi software development kit and new embedded ethernet to Wi-Fi bridging module PremierWave GG2050 from Lantronix.

Atlantik Elektronik showed also Holtek´s new 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ Microcontroller. Due to the low energy consumption, the new series are particularly suitable for the boom market IoT and match perfect in the use for wearables where costs and easy integration are essential.

In addition Atlantik Elektronik presented the Wi-Fi  IoT module WSDQ-103GNI from SparkLAN. The WSDQ-103GNI is an ultra-low-power and cost effective Wi-Fi IoT module with 802.11 b/g/n support. This module is based on Qualcomm QCA4010 single band SoC design that delivering Wi-Fi connectivity, integrated intelligence, security and advanced services for the devices and systems of the Internet of Everything.
